ROOTS
Raízes (Roots) is a non-profit association that has an important role supporting children and young people with a weak family or institutional support, whose main objective is contributing to the eradication of the inequality of opportunities. It allows children to have a better quality of life and an integral development at a personal, professional and community level.
Currently, it follows more than 600 children daily, young people and their families with the most diverse problems, mostly in neighborhoods located in Lisbon and Amadora. Since 2011, it has helped more than 1000 children and has integrated more than 140 families in the association, defining programs and initiatives adjusted to the context, needs and objectives of each local community in which they operate.
